Abstracts

Abstract painting , like abstract thinking, is the attempt to comprehend ideas that are not tangible or concrete.  Guidance comes from texture and color, hard and soft edges, and repetitive symbols cut from telephone books, now obsolete.  Negative space competes with positive space in search of a harmonious balance.
